What a great day we had on Sunday, January 20, 2013! We had a "Jam Session" at the Ocheltree home!  We picked oranges off the Ochel's tree and lemons off Bruce and Cathi Ferri's tree.  Then we peeled, chopped, cooked and jarred until we had 39 jars of homemade orange marmalade and 22 jars of homemade lemon curd.  Lemon curd is a traditional British preserve, resembling the filling in lemon meringue pie.  Another name for it could be lemon butter.  It is delicious on scones or biscuits!  To quote Bob Marley, we were "jammin' in the name of the Lord"! Join us.  Next jam session will be "Freezer Strawberry" in late April or early May!
