Breaking bread together

Sunday, September 23, 2012

Our first potluck

David Jessie counted at least 52 people enjoying
fellowhip on Sunday.
Elijah and Josiah Roland enjoy the meal.

"Every day they continued to meet together
in the temple courts.  They broke bread in
their homes and ate together with glad and
sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying
the favor of all the people. And the Lord
added to their number daily those who were
being saved."  Acts. 2:46,47
(New International Version)

We enjoyed our first potluck together as a group
on Sunday, September 23, 2012.  Thanks to every-
one for really delicious food and a lot of great
sharing and friendship.

Steve Ocheltree talked about transparency
during class time, and we discussed
our need and desire to be a family who
supports one another in good times and
bad. Then, we formed new relationships
and strengthened existing ones as we
shared our first potluck together.

"But if we walk in the light as he is
in the light, we have fellowship with
one another, and the blood of Jesus,
his Son, purifies us from all sin."
1 John 1:7 (New International Version)
