Be an example to all believers

I had a conversation with Sandra Dohman, one of the women in the Sue Shepherding Group last night at our church Ladies' Night.  She was positively glowing over the experience of having the high school students visit their group last Sunday to share stories. Since there were more adults in the Sue Group than there were high school students, each student had the undivided attention of several adults as they exchanged stories.

 

"Even though I've been attending church here for some time," Sandra observed, "I've never met our preacher's son, Jericho Locke."  The adults in Jericho's small group asked him if he ever wants to rebel from being a preacher's son.  Jericho admitted that there are Sunday mornings when "my body doesn't want to get up and go to church, but my faith makes me go."  Jericho may only be 16 years old, but his faith is an example to all believers, no matter what age.

 

Sandra said the adults in the small group shared stories of their own experiences growing up in church.  It was generally just a great family time of sharing and getting to know one another. We are blessed to be family at College Church of Christ!
