Thank you, Ashley Henderson, for organizing a great event on Sunday night, December 23, 2012, at the Mosqueda Community Center.  Members of the Ocheltree Shepherding Group were on hand to help wrap the donated gifts at the Toys for Tots distribution, sponsored by Reading and Beyond.  We were all blessed to be there.  Phillip got to use his "Spanglish", Carolyn had the Christmas shoppers teach her simple phrases in Spanish, like "God bless you", Andrew helped in toy selection and discovered his inner "wrap artist", while Kathy Tolleson was a cheerful holiday consultant to the parents and children selecting toys.  Lex and Avery Henderson also were jolly consultants to the Christmas shoppers while Ashley Henderson kept the whole process going.  Afterward, Phillip commented that he hadn't really felt very energetic about going beforehand.  But, after the event, he was filled with new energy.  Isn't that the way giving works?  We receive more than we give!
Looking forward to more service projects together.  Buy up those orange shirts!
